Stagione WRC3 2018 - Preview

For the fourth year in a row, Enrico Brazzoli will defend the colours of Winners Rally Team in the FIA World Rally Championship: after his debut - at the wheel of a Subaru Impreza N14 - in WRC2 2016 (finished in fifth place overall among the drivers registered in the Production Cup), Enrico Brazzoli will repeat the experience in the WRC3 for the third time at the wheel of the Peugeot 208 R2 managed by Team Vieffecorse based in Brescia. The positive experiences gained in 2016 (eleventh overall at the end of the season) and in 2017 (seventh overall) with the 2WD car of the Italian team give hope to the driver from Saluzzo (CN): his program includes five events he already participated in the previous years (Rallye Monte Carlo, Rally Italia Sardegna, ADAC Rallye Deutschland, Rally Wales GB and Rally RACC Catalunya) and Tour de Corse could be added as a sixth one. In the World Rally Championship the knowledge of the roads is fundamental to start in the best way, with the right set-up and with clear ideas on the eventual changes to be made Stage after Stage.

I am confident that I will be able to capitalize the experience gained in the past years and that is why I try again with the same car and the same Team. The only change concerns the name of my co-driver: this year I will be joined by Luca Beltrame, who has raced more than two hundred rallies in Italy and abroad and who has quite a considerable experience.”- Enrico Brazzoli said “Once again I will have to fight against the "terrible kids" of the JWRC, who are very fast but most of them know the events of the WRC less than I do: this year I finished the Championship in seventh place overall and in 2018 my goal is to be in the top-five, a result that - for a gentleman driver like I am - would be really satisfying. I can only thank Winners Rally Team and my sponsors for allowing me to participate once again in the WRC: I hope to repay them with some good results during the season”.
